Kalea ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Kalea platform at kalea.fyi and app.kalea.fyi. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use our services, including data obtained through the LinkedIn API.

When you sign up or log in using LinkedIn, we collect the following information through the LinkedIn API:

• Your name and profile headline
• Email address associated with your LinkedIn account
• Profile picture URL
• LinkedIn profile URL and member ID

When you use our posting and scheduling features, we also access:

• Permission to create and publish posts on your LinkedIn profile
• Scheduling preferences and draft content you create within Kalea

We do not collect or store your LinkedIn password. Authentication is handled entirely through LinkedIn's OAuth 2.0 flow.

2. How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect to:

• Authenticate your identity and manage your account
• Publish and schedule LinkedIn posts on your behalf, as directed by you
• Generate AI-crafted post content tailored to your voice and profile
• Facilitate UGC campaigns between creators and businesses on our platform
• Communicate with you about your account, campaigns, and platform updates

We do not sell your personal data or LinkedIn data to third parties. We do not share your LinkedIn data with other users beyond what is necessary for campaign participation (e.g., your public profile name and headline visible to campaign partners).

3. Data Storage & Security

We take the security of your data seriously:

• Your data is stored on secure, encrypted servers hosted in the United States
• LinkedIn OAuth tokens are encrypted at rest and in transit
• We use HTTPS/TLS encryption for all data transmission
• Access to user data is restricted to authorized personnel only

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal data and LinkedIn-related data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

4. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access your data — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Delete your data — request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Revoke access — disconnect your LinkedIn account from Kalea at any time through your account settings or directly through LinkedIn's permitted services settings

Our use of the LinkedIn API complies with LinkedIn's API Terms of Use. Specifically:

• We only access LinkedIn data through official API endpoints and do not scrape or crawl LinkedIn in any way
• LinkedIn member data is used solely for the purposes described in this policy and as permitted by LinkedIn's policies
• We do not use LinkedIn data for advertising, selling, or licensing to third parties
• We do not store LinkedIn data beyond what is necessary to provide our services
• We do not attempt to re-identify anonymized or aggregated LinkedIn data

6. Cookies & Tracking

We use essential cookies to maintain your session and authentication state. We also use Vercel Analytics to understand general usage patterns. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or sell cookie data.

Our platform integrates with LinkedIn for authentication and posting. When you connect your LinkedIn account, LinkedIn's own Privacy Policy also applies to data processed on their platform. We recommend reviewing their policy as well.
